1) An empty house rattles and groans in ways you never hear when you're surrounded by family.
2) Don't go and see cutesy love stories when you're missing your husband. The unhappy endings will make you down and the happy endings make you feel how much you miss your man.
3) Although fireworks and alcohol are nice, the loveliest part of New Year's Eve can be the drummer and dancers you joined in the park whilst waiting for a bus.
