I'm also going to be good and try not to pick anything too old or obscure. After all, how many people here would remember "Phantom Agents" or "The Restless Years"?

I won a prize in a fancy dress comp and the bad guy from the very early shows was giving out the prizes - I still have his autograph somewhere and I can't remember his or the character's name :-(

I also know 3 people who have been Jon (Sonny) Blake's nurses, but considering the number he's had over the years, that's not so surprising.

Ah The Restless Years. Yours truly was an addict from a very young age. *wistful sigh* Ditto for Young Doctors and Arcade. 'Member that one?

Now, not sure about the other ones remaining, but I'd guess Sweetums from the Muppets. Or perhaps Beaker. That one's a bit obvious though. :)

Arcade was terrible! But the Restless years - when Penny changed actresses I was heartbroken, and when I ran into Peter Mochrie years later, I was scared that I remembered who he was.

So who would you have picked as my Restless Years best-loved character?
