Is there a reason for this?
May. 15th, 2001 05:36 pmThere are a bunch of students in my year who obviously don't really want to be there. They chatter in lectures, they do the minimum of work in group projects needed to stop the other team members throwing them out, and they act macho in the worst situations.
I've even ended up asking them in lectures to Shut UP and leave if they don't want to be there.
So I almost cheered today. The head of the faculty came into the lecture and announced that none of this behaviour would be tolerated, and that anyone mucking up in labs would be ejected.
And it turns out someone was thrown out of a lab yesterday for horsing around with compressed air.
I am not sorry in the slightest.
Oh how I wish I were already in second year when the attrition rate has started to work.
