Good, happy, positive things

The very positive kitling has promulgated the idea of a journal entry filled with positive happy good lovely things, bless her.

Marina, with whom I do Accounting (which has also turned out to be a lovely subject) and with whom I spend Wednesday with coffee between classes.

Rain. Glorious, wet, fire-dousing, plant-watering rain.

The world's most beautiful puppy.

Silk. And linen. And wool. And all that lot.

My beautiful boy.

Many dubious, strange , wonderful, weird, loyal , twisted, lovely friends. Please note that the allocation of the links to the words is entirely random.

Breathing. Taking a long, deep breath just for the joy of it.

Someone else making dinner.

Getting snuggled at regular and irregular intervals.

Not taking no more sh*t from nobody no more.

Living in a country where, despite its shortcomings, most people can get on with each other and appreciate that different is not a bad thing.

Enough. I have a presentation to prepare.

Sometimes life is good.

Over the last few weeks each group in Management has had to give a presentation. It has been emphasised that a profssional approach is to be taken.

So tonight I relaxed with a couple of Lemon Ruskies and fish and wedges and sour cream and chili sauce and bathed in the glow of a job well done.

The poem I wrote for Wafflers on Friday

Quick background: This after dinner speaking club allows for four or five speakers after an excellent black-tie dinner. The speakers have normally had about 6 weeks notice of the topic, which they may interpret in any way they like or even completely ignore. I got a phone call Thursday night asking me very nicely but desperately could I please speak on Friday as they were down to 3.
