To disappoint a workmate
Jan. 27th, 2005 04:15 amA collegue was chatting with me yesterday about his lack of female companionship. He then looked at me and said "So could I have your sister's phone number?"
"Sister? I don't ... hang on - who are you talking about?"
"You came in one night with your sister and another person."
"You mean two people, both red-headed, one very tall with long red and blue hair and the other about my height, also with long hair?"
"Yeah, then. The one that was your height - she's your sister, isn't she?"
Gentle reader, I then had to explain to the poor guy that a) I have no sister and b) the other person I was with was my very beloved
lederhosen, who was on that night wearing his full dinner suit.
My co-worker can't look me in the eye now.
