
A 15-square biscornu! OK, it's only patchwork and not one of those amazingly beautiful cross-stitch ones, but I needed a needle-cushion and was curious to see how it would go. And
17catherines had mentioned these before, so I was tempted to try. Although perhaps I shouldn't have sewn it late at night in dim light...

This is the top. They look better at the smaller resolution - I need to be careful of this. The basics shape is five squares sewn together for the top, same for the bottom, and then five squares around the boundary to make the sides.
And what makes this special? Well, it's entirely made of stuff from my stash - and that includes the stuffing and the buttons. Some of this is scrap fabric from old projects (there's a light blue with bolka dots on the bottom right of the last picture that was from a nappy-holder I made when
da_norvegicus was a baby) and some is from an assorted "patchworks" bag I bought a couple of years ago.
And the stuffing is old worn fabric chopped fine.
