Then tomorrow I'll make the beef pies, the blood-orange marmalade, and slice up the steaks and the bacon.

Then I'm done, dammit. That should be enough food for next week so I don't have to cook when I come home.

18 – Where do you get the most inspiration for your fics (aka "bunnies") from?

BWA-HA-Ha-Ha-ha! You obviously haven't heard some of the conversations around this place.

"Imagine a house-elf trying to control a pair of wolfhounds."

"So what if Lucius was all dressed up at this art show, and the dogs touched the portkey and arrived just at that moment?"

Ahem. When people on certain fanfiction communities make side comments, bad things happen too. It was a misunderstanding about EWE that led to Lucius, Torchwood and the Sheep. (That, and I'd just read a REALLY bad HP fanfic that had a Torchwood crossover.) I joked to someone about House-elf crossovers, and she winced, so I went with it.

But usually I get the inspiration from thinking about people's lives, and what they did in the unwritten time gaps. For one of the Snape drabbles, (Anger), I wondered what disasters had happened in the world in the time between Snape leaving school and then going back, and wove them into the story. And someone's set of photos of an abandoned orphanage gave me the idea for Darkness Past, where Luna's turning an old orphanage into a group home and they find out they know one of the children who stayed there.
