In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator.

Oh, difficult.

(1) This one's a cheat, first up: Still Life with Dogs and its sequel, A Fete Worse than Death, were for the Lucius Big Bang. In fact, I'm proud of all the things I made for that fest The two stories are the tale What Lucius Did In The Years After The Battle Of Hogwarts, and the last is something Lucius's mother made him when he was still at school.

The first two were inspired by off-the-cuff comments by my husband, and my own years in England. I do enjoy making things that fit within canon, especially when they fit between or before actual texts, and all these do this well. Also, I am very proud of writing that didn't even really break the PG rating - the review I am proudest of is from a mother who read "Still Life" to her 9 year old daughter (because the daughter wanted to know why Mum was laughing so loud). The two stories add up to 25,000 words, and the other was about 15,000 ... um ... ok, it was stitches.

(2) Umbridge's Cats. Again, a story that fits within Canon, and helps explain some of a character's origins. The idea that Dolores was an almost-squib came to me when in a doctor's waiting room, seeing some of the really ghastly magazines there.

(3) Legacy. Spoilers underneath )

I could probably group my stories closely with these three, so deciding which ones define me or are my favourites was very hard. But this at least gives you a taste.

Oh all right - the first one is not so much a taste as a three-course banquet. Shaddup.
