In answer to my earlier question about 'roo bodies and pink spraypaint, I loved the replies. The correct answer is that they've been checked for joeys. A largish joey could live inside the mother's pouch a couple of days if the weather is warm - but by that stage, mum would be somewhat ripe. So, just like the houses were marked in New Orleans after Katrina, the roos and wallabies are marked as "checked" so that the wonderful volunteers who look out for this sort of thing don't have to ferret through decomposing kangaroo longer than necessary.

As there weren't a lot of bodies in a very decomposed state, I'm pretty sure the local roads people come past about once a week to move the bodies away. There don't tend to be a lot of dingoes in that sort of area, and kangaroos for consumption are culled and taken fresh. Roadkill just isn't that popular here.

My beautiful husband was up this weekend, and we not only sorted out tax stuff but managed to fit in the game as well. I miss him so much.

And so it's time to get serious on the job-hunting side of things. Remember, if you get a call about me, it's "tall, incredibly brilliant sexy redhead". Anything more and I'll have to re-negotiate my rates.
