In the town/city where you where born...
... Henry Lawson spent his last 20 years boarding above a coffee shop and fighting alcoholism and mental illness.
... the station where trains let passengers out to catch a ferry across the harbour (while the Harbour Bridge was being built) had the first escalator in Australia
... the proceeds from a payroll robbery were supposedly buried in a garden in the area in the 1800s, and no-one's found it yet.
... police stacked a performance of "Rusty Bugles" by Sumner Locke Elliott, ready to arrest the entire cast for obscenity if a certain word was used. (1948)
