Things that are nice, things that ain't.
Apr. 5th, 2011 06:25 pmLet us start with the lovely and delightful first.
17catherines is someone I will always be glad to see coming through my door. That she came through last night while I was struggling to make home-made pasta was a total blessing. I had bitten off far more than I could chew, had no idea how much work it was, and she turned a major disaster into a rather lovely pasta dinner. I might have provided pudding involved with dinner. Perhaps. Steamed pudding with home-made custard which goes far too well with dessert wine.
Also very nice was hanging out today with
crazyjane13, who does not mince her words. As someone who doesn't get subtle, I thoroughly enjoy spending time with her and just ... hanging. There might have been pudding involved too, this time without wine.
On the "ain't" side, my beloved
lederhosen is off to Canberra for a few days for work. I will cope. I will take the opportunity to eat onions :-)
And after a couple of strangers "followed" me on Twitter today, I was inspired to write a rather terse letter to Pioneer.
Greetings,
Twice today I have been "followed" by a twitter account created solely to spam information about your new Pioneer CDJ-350 CDJ-350 Digital Multi Player. While I am aware that these spams may well originate with your overseas marketing people, please be aware that this sort of online pretense only makes me more determined to buy from your competitors.
The accounts in question are @TerraToelle8649 and @PatricaSegobia6, in case you want to check them for yourselves.
Please inform the relavant marketing branch to stop it.
Sincerely
Reynardo
Heh. Having heard stories from how fast companies now react to such notifications, I look forward to their response.

Date: 2011-04-05 08:51 am (UTC)As for the pasta, you'd have got it done eventually, but filled pasta *is* time consuming and it's always easier and much faster with two pairs of hands. I do think the writer of the recipe misled you unduly about the consistency of the dough, too.
We'll have a pasta making day at my house sometime - I have the table for it!
