Nine Truths and a Lie - the Truth Revealed!

Truths!
1. One of my secret fears is slugs and snails. Stood on them barefoot when they'd find my way into my bedroom through my balcony door when I was a child, and I just can't stand the feel! Ugh!
2. I was once close to an IRA bomb. According to my mother, when we were in England in the 1970s we were in a part of central London less than an hour before a bomb blew up there. Apparently the bomb had been placed much earlier that day, which meant it was there when we were.
4. I won first prize in an Australia-wide Girl Guide First Aid competition. At the Sydney Showgrounds in the late 1970s, we got almost full marks for the stretcher and the rescue part, and I was in charge of bandaging. Luckily, the "injuries" I had to treat were the ones I knew the best.
5. Instead of just letting me pick the regular 5 books off the list for the Brownie reading badge, my mother made me read all of them. No, I didn't volunteer. Yes, my mum made me read the lot. Yes, it made it more of a challenge, but I hated feeling "different" again.
6. I have Tom Baker's signature and one of his (very old) Dr Who jelly babies in a box. I do indeed. The jelly baby is looking pretty ragged by now.
7. I've marched three times in the Sydney Mardi Gras. I have, and
da_norvegicus marched with me twice. I'm very proud of those marches - I was with the Community Support Network at the time, doing volunteer work with PLWHA
8. I've served alcohol to one of Australia's former Prime Ministers and a High Court Judge. Thanks to my late grandmother, this is true - Gough Whitlam and Michael Kirby.
9. My grandmothers were Marjorie and Nancy. Yes - Marjorie Kinder and Nancy Caldwell.
10. My son
da_norvegicus's birth was announced on the front page of the Sydney Morning Herald. Indeed it was - one of the benefits of having a father working on what was then the front page Column 8. The first letters of each of the items in the column spelt out "ADAM TIM".
And the lie?
3. I was a mad keen Bay City Rollers fan. I never was. Heaps of my classmates were, but for some reason the Tartan Terrors were never on my "hot" list. Now Queen, on the other hand ...
