DVDs piled everywhere...

We have DVD cabinets, but they weren't big enough to hold the whole collection. (The cabinets are 75cm high by 60cm wide and hold about 200 DVDs)

So ...

one piece of 90cm x 60cm 9mm thick MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) cut as shown.

One piece 3mm MDF (60cm x 120 cm), cut into two 42cm x 60 cm bits.

And then the whole thing is put together with some screws and four small brackets.

And this is what one of them looks like from the front.

And now there's another 160 DVDs put away, and space for a few more...

I'm afraid I go for ready-made; bookcases and a chest of drawers.

I would have bought shelves but they were going to be a little expensive. This pair cost me $25, a sore hand, a tired body and an afternoon's work.

I have the same problem but it's VHS tapes. =(
