A few more days and I would have had the Beatles, seeing as they landed in Australia when I was 2 days old.

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] james_nicoll,

Challenge:

1) Find out the song that was #1 the week you were born.
2) Find that song on YouTube.
3) Post that video on your wall without shame.

(It's very hard to find actual Australian charts from the early 1960s, but as this was top in the UK and the US, and she was very popular here, I'm counting Cilla Black with "You're My World")

I know nothing of this "wall" of which you speak. However, the UK no. 1 on the day I was born was "If" by Telly Savalas. Not, I have to say, a favourite; actually I didn't have a clue what it sounded like until I watched that.

According to this site, the Australian number one was "My Guy" by Mary Wells. Better, perhaps?

I got the Supremes. No complaints really. They weren't making that much cool music at that end of the '60s.

I'll confess to not remembering your birthday exactly - here's a list which seems reliable.

Either is fine, luckily. Now why is it that when *I* searched Wikipedia, that didn't come up?

I am eternally grateful it's not a comedy novelty number like a friend of mine got. (He was born the week of "Australiana" by Austen Tayshus, poor thing)
