reynardoIt's the very long one about what's in your house, so I've put it under a cut to save your sanity.
1. What kind of soap is in your bathtub right now?
It's a shower, and there's Palmolive Gold (for the Hippy), Woolies generic (for![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
lederhosen) and something in lemongrass for me that's lasted for AGES. We do have a spa, but there's no soap in it just at the moment.
2. Do you have any watermelon in your refrigerator?
Not right now - still too cold. When it gets closer to summer, perhaps.
3. Is there anything moldy in your refrigerator?
I hope not. But if you'd asked me that 2 hours ago...
4. What would you change about your living room?
When we get the Hippy's room back when he moves out, I'm moving the pouffle up there (it's also a single bed) which will give us a bit more room. And try to empty the tub of junk, next to the box of junk and the box of mystery stuff.
5. Are the dishes in your dishwasher clean or dirty?

6. Do you have a can of mushrooms in your pantry?
NEVER! Fresh forever!
7. White or wheat/brown bread?
Depends what I'm in the mood for making - homemade oat rolls (white) or sourdough rye (brown)
8. What is on top of your refrigerator?
Trays. On top of there is a cupboard with recipe books, picnic plates and gear, the BIG casserole pot and the bamboo steamers. On top of that is a basket and it's so high that I don't want to get up there and find out...
9. What color is your sofa?
Smoky blue.
10. What color or design is on your shower curtain?
It's a screen, so it's glass with white edges.
11. How many plants are in your home?
Two - a pair of cacti (and one has budded!)
12. How many candles are in your home?
Probably half a dozen. The rare times that we use the spa, I try to light one.
13. Is your bed made right now?
No. It's just a matter of throwing the quilt over it, but that only gets done when the sheets get changed on Saturday
14. If you have a coffee pot, what color is it?
I have a glass plunger (French Press?) with black plastic frame.

Well, what's in there is hung up... I think the formal gear is more to the right.

19. What kinds of things are in your junk drawer?
Don't so much have a junk drawer as boxes. Lots and lots of boxes. With books and CDs and papers and pencils thrown in at the last move and kitchen equipment and and and ...
20. Do you drink out of glass or plastic most of the time at home?
Glass. The only plastic we have is a set of Lego tumblers, which need sink-washing so they don't get used that much.
21. Do you have iced tea made in a pitcher right now?
No - too cold for it. But I do make a pot of tea in the morning and then re-heat it cup by cup during the day. Luckily the tea is not one that goes "brewed to death".
22. If you have a garage, is it cluttered?
HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA! Ahem. You can just make it from the front to the back. Just.

Yes, one in the bathroom, because the switch is broken and I haven't got around tofixing it asking our tame electrician to fix it.

Three

Supposedly once a week, when the Basil Hair starts taking over.

Red
29. Do you have a welcome mat on your front porch?
It's a front doorstep. Yes. And a mud-scrubber
30. What is in your oven right now?
Nothing, for once. But I will be making dinner later
31. Is your microwave clean or dirty?
Well, any bugs that were in there have been nuked to pieces... Slightly spilled-on.
32. Is there anything under your bed?
If Basil the Borglie isn't under there, there will be the remains of tissues he's ripped, my shoes, probably a book or two that's migrated from the walkspace beside my side of the bed. Oh - and dust.
33. Chore you hate doing the most?
Vacuuming. So ridiculously tiring!
34. What retro items are in your home?
A sewing-bird. And the stereo (still plays vinyl). And the 1947 sewing machine (runs like a dream). And would you count my corsets?
35. Do you have a separate room that you use as an office?
HA-HA-HA-SHADDUP! More to the point, my study, which is also my craft room, is also the room used when guests come over. And as the Hippy's girlfriend is over most weekends, guess when I can't study...
36. If you have a yard, who mows it?
No yard. More of a courtyard in dire need of weeding and dog-poo-removing. Hey Hippy!!!!
37. Is there anything on your kitchen floor right now?
Sack of bread flour, sack of rice. I'm not counting anything past the end of the kitchen bench. (We have containers for the bread flour and rice once the sacks are opened, but these are still new and full)
38. How many mirrors are in your home?
34 - Upper and lower bathroom, and our room. And the downstairs room which used to be a master bedroom but is now supposed to belederhosen's study, but it's full of pictures that we must hang up. Anyway, it's got a BIR with a mirror on the front.
39. Do you have any hidden emergency money around your home?
Maybe... More to the point, when I do the washing I empty the pockets, and any cash left there goes into the piggy bank. At last count there was over $200!
40. What color are your walls?
Neutral cream, except for the Wall of Doom in the craft room. I think it was painted by the previous (teenage boy) resident, and it's bright red and very badly done. I've covered it in posters and postcards and all that bundle of odd silly pictures you print out at work, and things like that. Oh - and Alan Rickman against the wall...
41. Which rooms in your house have wallpaper?
None.
42. Do you have a peephole in your front door?
No, but if I really wanted to, there's the window right beside it. AS it is, we have a secret weapon...
43. Do you keep any kind of protection weapons in your home?

Fried bacon and potato patties. That was lunch.

Gardenia, but only as a soft scent. Nothing too drastic.

No pickles, but I have home-made chutney.

If you just mean photos, The hippyda_norvegicus, lederhosen of course, and my nephew Oscar. If you include posters and paitings, Alan Rickman, Salma Hayek, Degas's dancers, a Bedard Sitting Duck, a very naughty Norman Lindsay etching (Yes, I can legitimately say to you "come up and see my etchings"), two Sybils by silverblue, and many more.
48. What color is your favorite bible?
Not really a bible-loving house here. We have a couple - my old one that used to be my cousin's is green (KJV), the one that used to be my greandfather's is black (KJV) (and falling apart), and if you dug into the book collection, you'd probably find a Good News (I was handing them out 25 years ago - don't ask) and a blue RSV. Oh - and the little brown one the Boyf at the time gave me - a NSV. But we also have (somewhere) a Koran, a Book of Mormon, and a couple of other odd ones. They're here for a) reference and b) because I can't bear to throw things out. You may have noticed this.
49. Do you have plenty of cabinet space in your kitchen?
Nope. I want my mother's walk-in pantry! WAAAAH!
50. Ever been on your roof?
Not bloody likely - it's a 2-story!

Yes. And it still plays vinyl.

Two. I really should set the kitchen one up.

We didn't bother getting one, what with the mobiles and all.

No, no money. But once I start working, we'll definitely have a weekly cleaning lady to do all the hard stuff.

Nerdy hippy? Have never really done much decorating. When I get a chance, I'll let you know.
56. Do you like solid colors in furniture or prints?
Solids. Almost the carpets are flowery (and falling apart)

58. In case of fire, what are the items you would grab if you only could make one quick trip?
Laptop, blue folder-of-all-papers,dogorcuton. (Basil would get out by himself)

Do you mean the fusebox? Absolutely.
60. What temperature in your home is most comfortable to you?
Depends how I feel. I recently dropped the "working" winter temp down to 18C (68F) - we can all wear jumpers and it saves heating money and the environment. In summer, I'll only hit the AC if it's above about 30C (86F) - we'll use the fans instead and try to be sensible.
