What the eyes have seen can never be forgotten.

First, I need to make it clear that I absolutely support my son in this, I think it's brilliant, and all I did to help was provide needle and thread, and iron the transfer onto the shorts.

Now...

Let's start from the beginning. My son, myself, and many others in my friends and family are NOT AT ALL happy with the sexualisation of Hallowe'en costumes, and indeed costumes in general.

In particular, the frustrating part (echoed in so many computer games) where the male costume contains about 250% more fabric than the female one. Please refer to this, this, and most particularly, this.

Bronyboy 2 Big McIntoshMy son, [livejournal.com profile] da_norvegicus, is a Brony - a My Little Pony fan. His usual cosplay is as Big McIntosh, as seen here on the right - a large plough horse with a green apple "cutie mark".

On the left is a picture of the boy in his usual cosplay outfit - red t-shirt with a plough-horse yoke (the cutie-mark is on the back), and red-brown trousers.

But this year, for Hallowe'en, he has decided to make a point. To show how different the male and female costumes are.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you - Big McIntosh - the Female Costume.

Red shirt tied high around a bra. Tight red hotpants with an apple cutie mark. Red fluffy "fetlocks". Leather collar.

First, the standard "Boobs and Butt" shot.

The fabric is a lot redder in reality - the flash made it pink.

Big Mac (Girls edition)

Dammit, he does the pout rather well!

I warned you to only click if you were ready for something ... shocking.

Now somebody pass the brain-bleach.
