I made it because I really didn't want to write 100+ different things as my likes or dislikes, and because I would always find things I'd forgotten about when I read other people's lists.
Also, not everyone copies and pastes from fest to fest. To be honest, I'd have trouble finding my previous fest entries, and the likes and dislikes vary, depending on what the fest is. For hpkinkfest, I'm more likely to ask for ... well, kink, whereas for a Next gen, I might want something in the light and fluffy side.
