djfiggy,
1) Do you ever get tired of living in Australia?
Not much. I get annoyed at our current Prime Monkey, and some bits of Aus are better than others to live in. I'd like to have 3 or 4 years in the USA and the same in Canada and England to really get to see some of the countries. But overall, I prefer the long haul here.
2) What are your five favourite albums? Anything you would like to mention about them?
Night at the Opera - Queen. My first ever album, and that guitar still gets me going. It took me years to like "Sweet Lady" - now it's one of my favourites.
Dexy's Midnight Runners - Too-Rye-Ay. Full of life and energy.
Glass Houses - Billy Joel. And most of the songs I prefer aren't even the singles.
Night Out - Ellen Foley. She should have gone further than she did.
Harvest - Neil Young. Despite the repetitive beat.
3) I'm not a goth, Art's not a goth... what constitutes a goth?
Admitting to it. And then half the goths will say you're not one because of ...
Ok - try - liking music known as Goth, not caring when you dance if you dance alone, writing angsting poetry, dark clothing, mourning your life but doing it quietly to yourself (except when reading your poetry), not having a problem spending the night sitting on a rooftop just watching the city lights. The poetry of Byron. Melodramatic novels with supernatural themes. Neil Gaiman. Robert Smith. Pre-Raphaelite paintings. Donnie Darko. Oh - go ask a real goth.
4) What's your favourite colour for hair?
Anything so long as it is clean and well kept. Dreads just don't do it for me. Long is lovely if clean and brushed, short and greasy just doesn't do it for me.
5) If you were a flower, what would you be? (And don't answer "I'd be a flower, silly", I mean flower type!)
I know.
Hmmm - warm and bright and colourful and cheerful and probably orange (thanks to
madcowmoo) so maybe a large bright sunflower or marigold.
