Some things you really shouldn't do.
Aug. 6th, 2001 10:35 pmI ought to be upset - it's the father of a friend since high school.
It's just that... well, he was so set in his ways.
Driving 15 km out of his way in a normally-10-km-drive because he "knows this other way better".
Insisting on treating his daughter like a child and getting her (then) husband to do her car insurance.
I can only assume he was in the same mindset when he was asked by his wife not to use the leaf-blower on the gutters, and he still went up on the roof (at 70+) to clean out the gutters with the leaf-blower. And I wish it hadn't been his good wife and my friend his daughter who found him. They're both in a bad way. And my father has been told in no uncertain terms by my mother that they will hire a professional gutter-cleaner when necessary.
