Some of you may know this, others need to be told.

I don't do subtle.

I can't do it myself. I get it wrong, or it ends up like being smashed across the frontal lobes with a piece of rock, or it's so subtle even the Masters of the Japanes Art of Subtle wouldn't register it.

I can't pick it up well in others. I have missed SO many offers due to missing the hints and stuff. I once kept a poor bloke up until 5am because I thought he was throwing me out for the night and he was trying to get me upstairs. By the timeI realised he was too tired to do anything.

So I will not take straight talking amiss. If I don't respond, it's because I didn't hear or realise you were saying something. If I mean no I will say it, if I offer a drink or a lift or accommodation in Sydney it's because I mean it too, not because I'm being polite. And I will be honest and straightforward to the point of bluntness.
