We had a lightning strike at the next building, although our power is protected adn the work goes on. But the roads down below are white. One of my cow-orkers left for home, then came back in after 5 minutes to tell us not to leave yet as the hail was so thick on the road that his car had skidded all the way around the block. So I'll stay here and drink coffee until it's safe.

But the view out the window is magnificent.

xenex and sapia, are you two OK? that strike must have been right next to your home.

We're both fine. We'd just been discussing the speed of sound and light to discover how close lightning was, just before the big one arrived.

Sapia took a bunch of photos, which will no doubt be all over her journal once she's bothered to upload them...

It's just been hailing (again) here at home too... Fortunately, Auric the pre-millennium Falcon is made of tough stuff. Second hailstorm for both of us today. check out the Sydney Morning Herald website for some great hail photos from this afternoon!!
