Let me look at the letter first. It's not that I could conceivably help you write a better letter, but I'd feel more secure.
Then again, I might feel more anxious, with the newfound ability to "what-if" everything I know about in the letter in relation to how parents might react. So in fact you shouldn't show me at all, and should really just pat me on the head and say you'll do your best.
