May. 13th, 2001 06:07 pmMother's Day is often like this.
It's lovely getting the treats and the breakfast in bed and being treated like a queen for an hour or so.
It disappears very quickly though.
Christmas comes and Mother's Day goes but the washing goes on and on and on... Three loads. Plus delicates and woolens. On the line. And Adam's desk, which we're making to save about $400 for an equivalent corner desk, needs another coat of paint. Point to remember - one ought to wear gloves when painting to avoid hands that look like they belong to a zombie.
OK, I'm in a grump. I'm tired and I feel like I'm doing all the work (which isn't true - I'm just doing the majority as always) and I then have to find my homework and do it and I wouldn't mind an early night instead. This motherhood business is a ton more than they ever let you know.
And one day a year doesn't even START to make up for it.
