I've had better days

and I've probably had worse, but I'm tending to wish today had been a little better.
First off was having to drink two litres of water to make sure the bladder was full this morning by 7:45 am. I've had a pain near the right hip for some time, and the doctor thought I might have an ovarian cyst. The Ultrasound guy was running late, and I had to hop about a bit at the clinic doors, but the good news is there's no visible nasties in there. Now they just have to work out what the smeg *is* going on. Alas, more stress for my beloved bunny, but not as bad as it was.
His mother is no better, and may be coming to stay with us when she has her treatment in Sydney. I can cope with occasional visits, although we'll have to teach the dog not to bother her. This same dog who is very careful to pick the time just after I've washed the floors to besmirch their pure state once more. *sigh*
So then I get some sleep, and drive off to meet my beloved
lederhosen once more, we hit Evil Stores for Retail therapy, then picked up the car and headed up Sussex Street. And as I went through an intersection well after the lights had gone green, another car came out of the street to my right and hit us. Not hard. Not dangerously. But enough that it was exchange-addresses-and-details time. (*sigh*)
And tonight I've had dimtwits, screamers and scam artists.
Just what I need. Bring on the weekend.

Date: 2005-01-27 08:15 pm (UTC)Ultrasounds suck. Internal ultrasounds to detect possible ectopic pregnancies suck even more. [hugs]

Date: 2005-01-27 09:30 pm (UTC)Well, I'm at work, but if you can find a way to abduct me I'll happily make you a souffle omelette, or bacon and eggs, or my fried tomato & onion thing..

I'm so very glad that you're both okay (I presume Norvegicus wasn't with you, or is similarly unscathed?), and sorry that it happened. Hopefully you can just dump the details on your insurance company and let them sort it out?
Wish I could sneak you down here (the laws of Physics would never know if I teleported you in quietly, would they?) and make the world go away for a bit until you relax - definitely sounds like both of you could use a bit of pampering. Hot baths, decadent drinks, good chocolate after a good dinner, and a gentler backrub than the last...what do you say?

Date: 2005-01-30 03:16 am (UTC)1. Parents are going to up the tuition slightly, so people who want to enrol their kids for the next year know that if they sign up now they get a discount compared to if they waited. Chaos ensues, as rich suburbanites give my parents thousands of dollars in neatly folded twenty and fifty dollar bills, and I'm not joking when I say that.
2. It's the only accredited Montessori School in Woodbridge. That doesn't mean you don't have about five or so unaccredited institutions built into strip malls and dental plazas, but sometimes those other schools lie to inquiring parents about their credentials, or are really grumpy when parents want to observe a classroom (on top of already lying to them about the qualifications of the "teachers"), so some people are looking MLMS over as an option.
Of course, image is an issue. MLMS needs a serious makeover, with cracks in the ceiling in places, and the general wear and tear you get with a case-modded big house with lots of young children in it, so some money will go there...

Next time (if there is a next time, cross fingers) try drinking only 1.5 L, from experience it gets you around the same result (visibility of bits) with less discomfort. Much less discomfort.
Big hugs. Be safe.
