30 years ago, a mum picking up shopping on the way home from work might catch their teenage son hanging out in the mall when he's supposed to be doing his homework at home, and blow him up for it.

Today, I caught my son out for being online and in a chat area when he was only supposed to be using the computer to type up his Latin assignment, because I was on the same chat area and saw his name as being logged in.

So I SMS'd home and let lederhosen know that he needed to drag the boy off.

It may amuse you to learn that I had a dream this morning which included (among other things) a certain adolescent behaving typically. Can't remember what was going on otherwise; chiefly, I remember being v. annoyed and then realizing he wasn't my kid... *chuckle*
