Hi there to mdrnprometheus, darkrosetiger, silmaril, torin3 and turnberryknkn. You five have been added to the Very Special Secret Conspiring Group because lederhosen and I will be coming to the USA in September to gatecrash the wedding of harliquinn and jazzmasterson. And because we thought that as we'd be sort-of in the area, there's a chance we might hook up.

Look for posts of mine that are locked, with the same icon, and they'll be friends-locked to this select group with info about the trip. And any info people have, please feel free to throw it in here.

September is probably going to be the single craziest month since I took my first national boards in 1999 -- thesis defense, followed by resumption of duty on wards, so I really, really can't promise anything, alas. (Any other year but this one...)

But I am not complaining, as I was lucky enough to see you both were here ([link]). :-)

I don't know the others on the list, but certainly I very, very much hope you and lederhosen get to meet in person mdrnprometheus, fellow Fellow of the NIH Mad Scientist Training Program and comrade in activist battle, and silmaril, Lady sister-to-arms and partner in mischief -- and likewise, I hope the two of them get the privelege of meeting you two as I did, a wonderful Chicago day long ago. :-)

*sad noises* I realsie it's unlikely we'll be able to catch up with everyone, but it would be worse if we missed people we'd easily be able to meet.

Sounds like fun. Roughly what will be the geographical area you two will be covering?

on the East Coast, from Bangor Maine to Lunenburg Mass to Conneticutt to Johnson City, Ny to possibly a bit further south, which I believe includes Easton, Pennsylvania.

According to Yahoo maps, the two are only 3 hours drive apart.

It would only be for a couple of weeks, but it would be so cool. And I get to drive on the wrong right hand side of the road.

Well, we moved a bit south from Easton when we got married...I really should update my info. We now live in Perkasie, PA, but that only makes about 1/2 hour difference in drive time. I don't know if it is close enough to your other destinations, but you are welcome to stay at our place if it will help out. We have a guest bedroom. It will give us a chance to cook for somebody other than us. And while we do have 2 snakes living in there right now, we can move them into the master bedroom if they would bother you. And 3-5 hours 1 way to visit would not be a problem for either of us. Looking foreward to your visit.

Actually, they are colombian boas. One an albino, the other normal. About 6' and 8' long right now.

I'm currently trying to find a way to sneak these two onto the guest list without arousing too much suspicion. My first attempt (padding the guest list for musicians who don't exist) didn't pan out because of musical decisions that the happy couple made.

So if anyone on this list is going to be invited and, due to distance or conflict, have to decline, I would love to impose upon you to RSVP in reynardo and lederhosen's stead.

The alternate plan is to pad with two "...and guest"s who don't really exist. I know I can get one courtesy of topofthehill unless something drastically changes in his life in the next few months... and I have a potential idea for the other, but that situation has historically been more fluid...
