Ow.

Ruddy kitchen floor- mopping it wasn't getting off the dark smudges on the edge of every tile, so it was hands-and-knees and a scrubbing brush.

And it's a BIG floor. 1 hour to do 1/4 of it.

Ow.

We have finally gotten the newer computer up (sitting in boxes since we moved) - turned out the keyboard and mouse set weren't working.

Cleaned out the spare room so that a) lederhosen's parents can stay there and not grumble about it and b) we can offer other staying-over guests a room away from the ratdog.

And read the latest Harry Potter. One safe thing to say - it's definitely ONE BIG SETUP for the last one - sooooo many unanswered questions and un-satisfying loose ends.

Oh yeah - and we broke the Internet at work the other day. Oops. (Total connection breakdown for the whole of my ISP - only lasted 1 hour, but pretty nasty all the same). Resisted the temptation to tell callers "For Frith's sake, you're in a CAPITAL CITY on a FRIDAY NIGHT - go out and GET A BLOODY LIFE!!!!"

Ow.

S'pose I'd better go get dinner then.

As someone who considers staying in on a Friday night the very next thing to a necessary precondition to enjoying said chunk of time, I object. Y'all can peddle your "lives", whatever they are, elsewhere.

*grins* 10 years ago, loooong before Usagi became addicted to downloading um shall we say adult movies that aren't normally shown in polite company, he was quite contemptuous of people who spent all their time ditting away on their pcs.
