Urgent Info required on Washington Airports.

Hey there.

We've got a chance at a really cheap flight from Washington Dulles (IAD) to LAX, via Independence Air.

1) Is Dulles OK to get to from the main part of Washington DC for a 7pm flight?

2) Anything I should know otherwise?

Look for bag snatchers at LAX more than anywhere else. Do NOT go anywhere outside LAX at night, or without pickup or taxi.

1) Given it is a weekday, you will probably need to wrap up what you are doing and be on the road for the airport about 4pm. It isn't that far off of the beltway. The only issue is likely to be traffic on the beltway. I'll call my friend who lives about 6 miles from Dulles today and ask for details.

Ok, the Udvar-Hazy center is on the other side of the fence from Dulles. Assuming you are talking a Tuesday flight we can figure 15 minutes travel time to the airport.

There is public transport from literally the middle of the city, very close to the Aerospace Museum. If you're going to be driving, slightly more tricky. You'd have to start at around 4 pm either way, as commented earlier.

Wait for us inside the terminal, and have your cell phone on. LAX is famous for changing the unloading gate at the last second and then not telling anybody.
