I've been lucky enough to wear two of the three antique dresses my grandmother owns. One was from France, circa 1800. Another was from England circa 1850 and the one that is too fragile to wear was first worn at the first ever Mayoral Ball held in Sydney (which I think was about 1850 as well).
(again without dyslexic spelling) I'd love to know how to keep them preserved. You'd have to have a special room with fixed temp and humidity. Imagine going to the wardrobe and finding the moths had been.
