Releasing the children

Last night a few friends came around and I had a BBQ, and watched in extremem amusement as it turned out a friend that I'd met 11 years ago worked out he had a connection to the boyfriend of a workmate. Very amusing, and the world is getting smaller again.

Today I got up very late (as I'd spent far too long browsing Wikipedia last night) and made a fairly standard Sunday brunch while twiggystick played WoW in the spare room and da_norvegicus caught up on Lego goss. Then, finally, I did something virtuous. I grabbed 20 of the books in the "going out" box, and finally put them on BookCrossing, because tonight when I through twiggystick back at his place, I'll be dropping them at the Killara Inn, the place where I go to Wafflers. Hopefully, some of them will travel widely and be logged.

And now - housework. I threw on "Aliens" an hour ago so I could watch it while I cleaned up. So I ought to clean up ...

I hear some of those "Aliens" DVDs are bugged, when you play them, Sigourney Weaver swaps places with you, so she'd do your housework and you'd have to kill her toothy lizard monsters. I don't think she'd do a very good job on the windows.

She'd still be doing better than me. And hey, the choice between the alien in the lift and the green moving thing hiding behind the fruit tray at the bottom of the fridge? "Oh Sigourney????"

I've always wanted to see someone hold an Alien themed baby shower. You know, a cake shaped like a baby bursting out of a mom's belly and all that. Does this mean I have issues or something?
