All I want for Frithmas...

Actually, I don't really want a can of Uranium Ore, but the comments are cute.

Spent two days in Canberra with my very beloved lederhosen, then spent two days helping twiggystick move into the spare room. And now have a place full of boxes, and a dead or dying fridge and washing machine on the front lawn. Council are picking up the stuff on Friday, so I can add more stuff up to the volume of a small trailer. Guess who's hitting the garage later to empty out boxes!

Why have a friend move in? A few reasons, mostly to do with helping out with the mortgage while we're running two households, and to help out with cooking and housekeeping, because I'm not coping by myself. (Yes, I have da_norvegicus, but there's a limit).

Have now killed off 85% of the Frithmas Present list, and merely have to work out the difficult ones. Ick. Tired. Want sleep.

The silliness continues

Don't be surprised if you wake up to the sound of an unusual bird call, only to find that a plasticky envelope with built in bubble wrap soared across the ocean on gossamer wings, buffered by this wind and that before singling out your home and diving down to your location. You mumble, "Air mail again," tickling the strange pelican-like bird under his chin until he opens his pouched mouth and offers you all his contents.
