Things to amuse me.

1) Our street name, Moona, apparently is a local Dharrug word meaning "Plenty". Anyone who has sat through one of my guilt meals will understand why it's appropriate.

2) Is it really bad form, after a beautiful and exquisitely-rendered Magnificat, to whisper "At least it's a bit better than OMG the bloody indicator is blue!?"

3) If the evening is muggy and cool, you're going to be too hot in a cardigan and too cool in short sleeves. If the concert is in a chapel, it's likely to be even cooler. Bring the cardigan anyway. My fault.

4) Choral harmony somehow fills the very heart of me and sends shivers down my spine. This is not a bad thing. Not at all.

5) The evening was lovely. Only 3 things were missing:

a) My beloved and very missed lederhosen
b) The beautiful and utterly talented shadow_5tails. Preferrably as twins - one to sit with me and the other to be singing so that everyone else could hear how beautifully she sings.
c) My dearest lederhosen's mother, whose absence suddenly hit in the middle of the Adagio. She would have enjoyed it, even if there was no Messiah.

Too much to do. So little energy. So little time.

oh you're on a name thing...my street name is Watanobbi, which sounds like something Japanese but some old bloke who first bought the land here said "oh what a lot of nobbi hills"...(it's in the local shire council history) anyhow that has nothing to do with singing except that there is a church two doors down from us that is having Carols on the weekend in Maori! with a BBQ needless to say we are attending...
