I had the wakies

because I have a bit of a cold, and the night-time tablets I took last night wore off at about 4:30am. Or changed into daytimes tablets - I haven't decided yet.
So I sat at the table at
lederhosen's place with his laptop and registered 2 dozen books for Bookcrossing, setting aside as special the 9 books written by Australian authors for kids.
And then I'm sending those ones to Western Australian, because one of the Bookcrossing people, Makita21, is going to be driving across the Nullarbor Plain in April. There are a few trees on this otherwise barren plain, and some of them have been turned into theme trees. And she's going to be turning one of them into a Bookcrossing tree, with free books for people who pass there.
I've already released almost 100 books through Bookcrossing. I hope most of them have found good homes. (If anyone wants, books that are listed as "available" are here and I'd be happy to send a couple if people want). So far only one of mine has been listed as "found", but I think a lot more are being read and appreciated. And that's also at least 4 shelves worth of books I've managed to cull from my rather-too-full collection. Leaving only about 16 shelves of my books (not counting those belonging to the rest of the household :0)
(Ok, I admit it. The kids' books belonged to
da_norvegicus, who has also been very good and cleaned out his bookshelves this week.)
