We went around possible houses in Canberra last weekend, and put in applications for all three. The first is in a lovely location but rather far out of the city. The second is not so nice, although much closer in. The third pretty well fulfills all functions, but is with [livejournal.com profile] lederhosen's agents of doom. The first's rooms that are not the master bedroom are smallish, which isn't so good for [livejournal.com profile] trixtah, with whom we will be sharing. And the second, while allowing a dog, would only allow it outside.

*sigh*

Well, the first one is approved but I'm hoping for the third, and looking at what I can take as versus what I can't. It'll be nice to be living with my beloved again. And I do like some cold weather.

Time to get back to job apps. No, this has nothing to do with the fact that the WoW server is down. Honest.

Will also be very very glad not to be staying at [livejournal.com profile] lederhosen's current place any more, as the room-of-storage downstairs is also the room-of-mildew and I'm pretty sure it's why I've ended up feeling like crap after being there.

And was very very naughty and succumbed to the $70 "very heavily discounted" CD set of classic novels, and am making good use of them on the trips to Canberra. Mind you, in P&P, they've missed out the "taking a turn about the room" sequence, but it's still a very diverting method of getting through the drive. I'd only done 2CDs when I was already at Campbelltown. Next, the Mayor of Castlebridge.

That's one of my fears of resigning without getting a new job first, I could become a full time EverQuest player. o_O

That's the third place - the one with Elders. Unless #2 also has that restriction.

Fingers crossed for you that you find a nice home - have you tried private rentals? I find that landlords are often more easy going than the real estate agents and often say yes to things like pets if you run it by them first.

Did I blink and miss an update? You're moving to Canberra? (I've been hermity of late, so it's possible I missed stuffs). What about A? etc etc?

*confused look*

Regardless, good luck with it. And the job hunt. I'm on that one myself at the moment and most sucky it is indeed.

*hugs*
