My dear, sweet, loving, beloved [livejournal.com profile] lederhosen is sometimes prone to making outrageous claims of complete falsity in his journal.

Such as the linked entry about the passing of Gary Gygax:
His approach to gaming bugged me intensely on occasion, but together with Dave Arneson he helped start something that's kept me out of a lot of mischief over the years.
Ahem.

*choke*

*cough*

"Out of mischief".
.
.

Out of mischief?

Let the man speak for himself:
Then, my sister and I did something we've been threatening for years but never, as best I can recall, ever actually done. We ran a D&D game together. No, scratch that; we spent several hours inside the Inflatable Room plotting and giggling (it makes a great Plotting Space) and then we ran a game. January 2003

Nobody ever died from having too much Dexterity, and the fighter can carry the heavy stuff. Named Calair Icebrook, as envision a Cold Wastes style druid. Child of hippy-types who decided the Great Outdoors wasn't all that great after all, she stayed on. August 2002

From [livejournal.com profile] silverblue Evil Yelyena is quite happy to play with Evil William. So who has the video camera and the tied up Pooka tonight? Comments to a post in September 2002

And I could go on. And on. And on. But of course, isn't it always best to let him do it himself????

The Inflatable Room! How I miss that place even so long after that lovely camp!

We really must re-group and go camping like that again sometime. Preferably when I'm in the country. :)

We have a book now of lots of wonderful camping places, especially those between Canberra and Melbourne. We're looking forward to a coolish spring or late winter camp where you can have big bonfires and shared sleeping bags.

Although, considering what happened to our modem and router the other day, you aren't planning a trip in the near future, are you?

On a completely different note, a young lass I know is heading to London to report on the electronic music scene there. Ok if I give her your number and email address?

As long as it's not on the Barry Way (C608, the Jindabyne-Buchan road), I'm not losing another fucking panelvan on that stretch of gravel. No trips back there in the immediate future, I'll pass word to my children to behave a bit better in my absence.

Email address is okay: anyone I already know?

No - she's Adam's cousin, 22, and on a big trip. Thanks for that.

And yes, the Jindy-Buchan road is RIGHT OUT.

Ok, if ever I pay a visit Down Under, I am SO gaming with you guys.

My group used to meet twice a month...but I haven't gamed since AUGUST.

Now...if only I could find where the hell I put my freaking dice bag.

Such blasphemy! Knowing where one's dice bag is is second in priority only to knowing where one's towel is located.

I mean, really.

I think my dice bag is under my towel. The damp one. In the laundry basket.

Because I think I caught the dice bag with the towel while tossing the towel into the basket...
