Had the boy for the weekend...
Jul. 15th, 2008 12:42 amand took him to the National Gallery. The exhibition currently showing is Richard Larter, whose work didn't really do a great deal for either of us. However, we both agreed that his portrait of his dog was brilliant.
And I want a Calder mobile.
Threw the lad onto a bus at 12:45 - still not sure where he ended up. With any luck, Timbucktoo.
Tired and bleugh and with a nagging cough that I'm seeing the doctor about tomorrow. I'd say I was feeling hormonal, but the blargh seems to be affecting a lot of my male friends too, so that probably isn't it.
Snow on the nearby higher peaks on Saturday morning, and some of it still hasn't melted. We're still having fusebox problems. If the voltage is 240, and the fuses are 15 amps, then running the 2400W kettle and the 1250W microwave and the washing machine and one electric blanket on that circuit at the same time is probably a bad thing. On the other side are all our heaters, the fridge, the phones, the router and the computers - same problem. At least by keeping a lot of things turned off we're saving a stack of electricity. But I still am dreading that first electricity bill.
Enough raving. The puppy is cold. Bedtime.
