Sound familiar to anyone?
Sep. 24th, 2002 03:24 pmI'm on a couple of weird mailing lists - from the Cabal (there is no Cabal) to various craft ones.
And today, on the list whose biggest flame war to date has been whether Bishop Rutt is going to reprint his book on Historical Knitting, there came a piece of mail I really couldn't believe. I read it. I had to read it. I had to determine whether there was a punchline or a silly bit or some redeeming feature that might explain why it had been posted to a list on the historical attributes of knitting and yarn.
What Is Racism?
The 'racist' double standard: how Whites are made to feel guilty
and "hateful" for loving their own people and culture.

I will print no more of this disgusting waste of electrons. All I can say is that the poor person who posted this is going to wish she had updated her virus protection more recently.
Why?
Because she normally is a sweet and rational writer, so the assumption is that she's picked up one of those nasty computer viruses that send out stuff from your account to everyone in your address book.
And she's now going to be getting hate mail, ISP cut-off advices and lots and lots of other similar stuff. And get thrown off a ton of various lists that she's subscribed to - knitting, sewing, costume...
Poor girl.
That'll teach you to use a virus killer.
