reynardo | Good thing I'm in Sydney

Last day at work - YIPPEE! Quick dinner and home-made mango icecream (yum) then up to Sydney.

I have a snoring doctor appointment tomorrow, and then I'm having lunch with my mother. I was going to put the word out about possible catching up with people for dinner or something, but that still left a lot of afternoon free.

Then I found out that my first boss at Optus (and a very very dear friend too) has collapsed and been taken to hospital at North Ryde. She's in the ICU with electrolyte problems, and quite ill.

I've heard though that they've worked out what the problem is and she's on the appropriate IV, so hopefully I'll be able to see her tomorrow. But how fortuitous that I happen to be in Sydney and with some free time at just the right time. I would have been miserable if I couldn't have seen her.

I'm heading back Saturday afternoon after seeing my family,

sarin_girl and then another friend with some ~~evil stash to be added to the pile~~ unusual fabric that she's selling. An excellent trip-time to listen to the CD I have of the 2004 Massey Lectures (picked up for $10 in a CD Clearance barn, and a total bargain. I must get more.)
