Happy Home-made Postcard noises!
Feb. 7th, 2010 08:04 pmSo I'm always on the lookout for something different to use for postcards (seeing as I'm up to about 40 cards a month). In town there is a Romance Bookshop, specialising in all sorts of variations on the swooning-female-half-naked-male-swirly-sparkly-writing type of cover. Yes,
17catherines, the one where they know you so well.
To advertise these tomes of torrid tellings, the publishers send a bundle of covers - just the covers, not the insides - to be displayed along the tops of the bookshelves and in the windows. And of course every few months these get changed. And there's all these covers spare...
So some of my lucky next postcrossers will be getting postcards with a most lurid colour scheme. Some will be getting cards of the front, complete with the dashing Earl bending poor Miss Harris back as he tries to seduce her, and some will be getting that overprinted with the teaser as the card will be made out of the back of the cover.
