It's getting dimmer...

Even my little pinhole shows no bites out of the sun yet. But then we aren't really supposed to get much here - 70% totality by about 8pm, but by then the sun will have been down for 10 minutes anyway.
We ought to get bitten-sun-spots everywhere soon, though. When Sydney got 90% in 1977, we sat in my parents' place, and the usual disks of sun that speckled the cupboard at the back were thin cresents like an almost-new-moon.
Alas, the tip of the hill hides the sun shortly. I'll be walking up to look at it after dinner.
My beloved is delayed on the way home by transformer explosions and bushfires (not on our line but affecting everything). I hope he gets to see some of this too.
