Ohhh - this might actually be worth it.

Pirates of the Carribean 4 - the Fountain of Youth - it looks like when the screenwriters are given time and space to write a story, they come up with a good one.

If only it also had Salma Hayek. Then I'm sure [livejournal.com profile] lederhosen would fight his way to the front of the line, to get in.

Oh, and just for you, surely not for the millions upon millions of other people who could see it, some more photographic goods.

BlogTO presents, Toronto in the 1940s (http://www.blogto.com/city/2010/12/toronto_of_the_1940s/). Starts with a wartime factory worker, and ends with what Yonge Street looked like when they started building the Yonge Subway Line in '49.

It turns out there are other photos, too, by the decade. Fascinating!

Hee, except that they bought this story from someone else. I have a copy of On Stranger Tides and I thought they'd ripped off the author, but no: he sold them the rights. Which is awesome. It's too good a book to be so obscure, and I like it when authors I like get money.

Even better. I have no problems with a good story being used. It was horridly obvious that the second and third ones were being "written on the fly".
