A project by Irina Werning, who has managed to get photographs of people many years ago, and how they look now, in the same clothes and pose and everything.

I am soooooo tempted to try something like that here. Actually, the photo on my icon, in the garden in St Ives...

That's an awesome idea. I'm thinking of doing a similar thing but where I dress up as my mother, aunties and grandmothers. It will involve a lot of wigs and old people clothing....

Dad and I are planning to do this with a photo he acquired from his father of a trip to Adelaide when he was very little (<5). I tentatively identified the background as the River Torrens near the Adelaide University footbridge when he showed me the photo, and then showed him approximately the same spot using Google Maps streetview (to his delight - I seem to do this kind of thing once every time he shows me something from his family history / genealogy document collection).

I just have to get him a beret to wear...
