reynardoBugger it. Typing out my handwritten notes for the first chapter of my ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
sshg_exchange piece, and I realised the entire chapter was superfluous. How Hermione finally walked from her job at the Ministry, what a little twerp Colin and Dennis Creavy's younger brother Casper1 was, and a lot of bitterness about my own Public (Civil) Service days2. And far too much description of Rose as a young adult, who doesn't turn up again at all in the story 3.
At least I realised, and didn't go ahead with it. I'll save them for another story.
And yes, a new icon. Which will get much use.
1. OC character who was ok, but didn't quite feel right. Lots of older brother envy
2. I can use it another time, do a story on someone working in the Ministry. Now I've just got her doing ... something else. That I really can't talk about here.
3. Standard classic Mary Sue Beginner Mistake. Am very glad I realised.
