"congratulations! You've Account information has Submit successfully. Approved we will immediately contact you!"

So not only has my World of Warcraft account apparently been hijacked and I needed to log in immediately to verify the information, but entering a nonsense account name and rude words for the passwords means I've confirmed my ownership of it! Woot!

(I took all relevant precautions, but I was curious what the result would be. The first line is the message on the screen after putting in all the rubbish)

Is there a Pottermore scam along the same lines? :)

There should be an account set up where if you encounter a scam, you send them this specific account's username/password and then WoW can register the scammer's logon event and catch them red-handed.

That.

Is.

Brilliant.

I'm sending it right along to the Wow people now.

I'm inspired by an episode in one of the CSIs, where a company creates a phone number that women can give to creeps who keep asking for a phone number. When the guy calls it he gets a message about why it is that he was given a false number. But hopefully this one catches creeps instead of just mocking them.
