Heh. Why dogs? Well, being allergic to cats, I couldn't really have them as pets. I had cats growing up, and when I had the allergy test and found out why I'd been sneezing most of my life, Mum said "no more cats". Mind you, one of the ones at home at that time lived another 19 years just to spite me :-P

And I don't like little fluffballs. I can't stand yappy ones. I would love a Labrador, but they're awfully big.

And I treat them bloody well. And they still steal my food and my chocolates. So when they're complaining, they're LYING!

Things with wit and style and excellent dialogue that doesn't have to rely on smut for the humour. (Smut is fine, but not if that's all of it). Beatrice and Benedict from "Much Ado About Nothing". Tom Lehrer's songs. Castle. This is part of why Drawing Room comedy works well for me -

I'm not mad keen on comedy based on "stupid" or "gross". Most of Jim Carrey's stuff leaves me cold, and Benny Hill only works for a while.
