George Michael? Axl Rose? Shaun Ryder? Sonya from Echobelly or Toni from Curve?? Rik Mayall (though some would argue he was 'passé' after the Young Ones in the early 80s... I certainly would!) Dervla Kirwan? Gavin Rossdale from Bush (now better known as Mr Gwen Stefani)? Alanis Morrissette? Dolores O'Riordan of Cranberries? Sinéad O'Connor? Justine from Elastica?
Terry Venables. He'd left the job as coach of England a few years ago in order to go to Australia, then returned home and took over the job at Crystal Palace just in time to see the club go into administration.
Gary Barlow? Take That split up in 1995/6, and Gary Barlow was supposed to be the one who would have the successful solo career. His 1999 album did pretty badly, and by then Robbie Williams was really taking off. Plus, it has the added bonus of the readers knowing that Take That are going to be huge again in the future.
