Hermione grew up in Muggle-land, as did Severus. But Lucius didn't. So the pair of them have to show Lucius how to deal with all the follies that come with our sad world. ATMs, safe sex, catching the Tube, paying late fees at the library ... Up to you to decide who teaches which to the poor man, and of course the two Muggle-wise draw closer as they deal with it.
