I was thinking that surely viagra coverage should be restricted to married men without children. After all, if you've already podded there's no need to take it. It'd be just about enjoying sex, and that's wrong, as we know.
The old double standard strikes again. Because of course men have to be ensured of enjoying sex, but women shouldn't be protected from the consequences of same.
I'm being all cynical and bitter in my old age.
Then again, the things that are and are not covered by Medicare and/or Health Insurance even in Australia can be quite strange. When I went to school in New Zealand, we had a Dental Nurse. No where else in the world that I've been to school at had dentistry covered by govt. health care.
Try this (Viagra is the brand name; the drug is sildenafil). Looks like it is covered -- regular price would be about $60 but cost to the patient is $5.80.
