Put your Ipod on shuffle, this is the soundtrack to your post apocalyptic life:

1: Overall theme for the apocalypse - Hey You (Pink Floyd)
2: Song played during your first zombie kill - Why Do I? (Golden Earring)
3: You're being chased by the zombie horde - Purple Haze (Jimi Hendrix)
4: Song played when you are forced to kill your loved one - Take On Me (A-ha)
5: Song played as you find a new love interest - The Outsider (Marina and the Diamonds)
6: Your final stand - Hard for to love (Hayes Shephard) (Couldn't find a link for this one. It's an old 1920s tune, very hillbilly)
7: When you notice the bite mark on you - Love Like a Man (Ten Years After)

A very retro set (as is my playlist). It would have been quite a different movie if I'd gone with the Study set...

I don't have an i-Pod, but that won't stop me playing...

1: Overall theme for the apocalypse - 'Scary Monsters (& Super Creeps)' (David Bowie)
2: Song played during your first zombie kill - 'Killer Inside Me' (MC 900ft Jesus)
3: You're being chased by the zombie horde - 'Run Like Hell' (Pink Floyd)
4: Song played when you are forced to kill your loved one - 'Where The Wild Roses Grow' (Nick Cave)
5: Song played as you find a new love interest - 'Girl U Want' (Devo)
6: Your final stand - 'If You Want Blood' (AC-DC)
7: When you notice the bite mark on you - 'Oh Shit' (Buzzcocks)

Ahhh, but that's you choosing, not a random pick. (Mine was actually from my Window's shuffle.)

1: Overall theme for the apocalypse - Providence (Sonic Youth)
2: Song played during your first zombie kill - Outer Space (Howard Amb)
3: You're being chased by the zombie horde - The Space Between Us (Ormus Remix) (WHITE TRIāˆ†NGLES)
4: Song played when you are forced to kill your loved one - Damage I've Done (The Heads ft. Johnette Napolitano)
5: Song played as you find a new love interest - From the Side of Man and Womankind (Tony Conrad with Faust)
6: Your final stand - A Knight at the Bar (Keff McCulloch) - from the soundtrack to Doctor Who: Battlefield
7: When you notice the bite mark on you - Money Makers (Paddy Kingsland - a bouncy little piece from a library music album which wouldn't be out of place in an early 80s horror movie (although probably without the sounds of cash registers)

Some of these sound quite appropriate. A surprising emphasis on sparsely evocative instrumental pieces (two of which are longer than 10 minutes). Some of them I hadn't heard before - there's a lot of music I haven't got around to listening to yet (and I'm not sure whether I'm going to keep track 2, which is definitely the odd one out).
