Someone obviously didn't like the book.

On other fronts, tonight's game went amusingly well. I've had a whole week of teasing my husband about the fate of Calair and the mating habits of dwarves. Tonight I got to throw the fastidious lady back into the fray. Read more on [livejournal.com profile] shinyshinyelves.

And for some crazy reason it's gone really really cold. It's 5C (or 41 F) and maybe this winter will be very cold and wet.

It occurs to me that no matter what book gets released, you have two ends of the spectrum, the individual who sees the book as a piece of genius, and somebody who absolutely hates it. Same goes for critics of film and other media. Unless the criticism is constructive, it truly is a waste of time.

Oh, it can be. The first of that Goodkind series has the distinction of being the only book I ever threw.

Out the window.

Of a moving train.

(Nice to see his quality is consistent, at least.)
